The Nitecore NEW i2 charger recharges 2 mostly discharged 18650 batteries in 6 hours while keeping the batteries barely warm to the touch. The 80% charge level was reached in 4 3/4 hours. It would be nice to accomplish a full charge in 3 to 4 hours, even if it means sacrificing some battery recharge cycles. The LED display is easily seen and unobtrusive at night. I dislike chargers that pretend to be a substitute for a night light.

Great product, faulty power cord
This charger is fast and easy to use. No frills to muddy the process. Only issue I ran in to was that the cord that came with the product seems defunct, fortunately its universal and I had another one lying around and now the charger works without issue.

We ordered two chargers, one for myself and one for daughter's family. The chargers worked as indicated and quickly identified damaged batteries. The power cord was bad on one of the chargers, but was a non-issue as we had a bunch of spares. The heat load on current models is very low so there is no start-up heat problem as some earlier models had. Very happy with this product.

The Nitecore i2 is a simpler version of the d2. I have both. The both seem to terminate at the same threshold for full batteries & the simple LED indicator on the i2 is good enough for 99% of charging cycles.

As soon as you plug it in and out the batteries in it the charger automatically reads what’s in there so you don’t have to press any buttons. It takes about 3 hours to charge 18650 batteries. The greatest part about this charger is that it automatically shuts off as well after batteries are charged. It’s a great safety precaution

I ordered a pair of protected 18650 2300mah button topped batteries. They were processed and shipped quickly. They came two days early and were packaged in heatshrinked plastic inside a foam lined reusable plastic container inside a high quality recycled cardboard flip open box. I ordered them for a high end laser build and am 100% happy with them. Same batteries on other sites were a few dollars more!

2 years, My charger is still working! the place where you attach the charge cord to the charger is messed up tho. I noticed another hole on the charger and it says 12 volt DC so I plugged a DC box and cord into it and wam it works. So far it's charging my battery is fine everything seems okay does anyone know if this is really okay? Why not just use a 12-volt DC charger anyway? Why use the cord that comes with it? Any suggestions? I'm just not too smart about these kinds of things, thanks guys!

Had been previously charging some Samsungs through my mod via USB and found that those batteries deteriorated and would discharge very quickly. So far, this charger has been suitable for me with it auto shut-off. My batteries last all day and then I just throw them on the charger and good to go in by morning

My old nitecore intellicharger i4 works great still, the only downside was how bright the running & Charging lights are, decided 5 Years was long enough so I purchased the new i2 and was very happy, not only does it have smart charge tech that allows different amp charge rates and I believe pulse charging as well it was, the lights were not overwhelmingly bright when the room lights are off. All in all happy purchase.

Needs better instructions
The instructions are not clear at all about what to expect when charging batteries or how the unit communicates with you. Basically, I was thinking it was a 30 minute charger, which it isn't. Just put them in and wait for tall the lights to light up which will take a few hours. I woke up and one battery was fully charged and the other had a red light. Still have no idea why. Took it out, put it back in and it charged. Otherwise it is a good charger.

This charger is easy to use and affordable. Charged my 18650 with no problems. One LED indicator lit up right when I put the battery in even though the battery was dead, so the accuracy of the indicator is questionable, but it is useful to see when the battery is fully charged.
