Charger has been great, especially for working with my old batteries dealing with recharge memory.

It doesn’t excellent job! It is not a fast charger by any means I’ve only had it in about a week but so far I’m very impressed. One thing I’m not happy with is it does not give you volts but it does a great job charging and giving you the health of the battery. The discharge refresh function does work very well. I had one battery. It was a cheaper 18 650 and it just would not last long at all, and I put it through the refresh mode on the dragon and the batteries like almost new now.

Simple to use... Internal resistance testing fluctuates, with the tester i recieved. Still playing with the charger and noted the contacts could be better where they contact the batteries. I would recomend this so far...hopefully this will last as well as my powerex nimh testers have.

Works great, charges quickly.
The charger arrived quickly and in good condition. Used it to charge two different sizes of lithium -ion batteries and it charged them quickly and to full capacity. I have not had the charger long enough to give it five stars, but it is doing the job as of now.

Shopped around for my first charger for 18650-style batteries, and just got more confused. Was referred to 18650batterystore.com, and found this one. Now that I have it awhile, I'm seeing the Xtar name frequently, so I feel safer in my having trusted 18650batterystore.com for my initial foray into lithium rechargeables.
When I first ordered this charger I did so just to have a charger for the 18650 batteries I ordered. What a huge surprise when the XTAR Dragon VP4 Plus arrived. This charger is great!!! It is way more than I expected. Digital monitoring of all aspects of charging and a huge bonus to me is that it has a "refresh" mode which charges and discharges the battery to recondition it and erase any previous "memory" from charging. This is the same type of reconditioning I use for batteries at work on "Mission Critical" 2-way handheld radios that cost THOUSANDS of dollars each. Great job XTAR!

This is my second XTAR dragon, I still have the first but it is starting break down. Two of the charging channels, 3 & 4, will sometimes not engage and charge without manipulating the batteries. The case began to separate due to the screws stripping due to the pressure put on it by loading batteries. But in all fairness I have had it for going on 5 years. I really like the fact that the batteries are very accessible in terms of getting them in and out of the charger. It charges quickly and thoroughly. The included car charger, USB charging port and the ability to test your batteries is added value. I do a lot of camping and the ability to charge 4 batteries at a time plugged into my pickup truck is a win for me. With my new Dragon I have elected to reinforce the case joint with some HVC joint tape. Overall 4.7 stars.
I like being able to recondition batteries with the VC4 Dragon. I also like the large display and the status lights because my eyes are not what they used to be. I like the added functionality of being able to use as a battery backup. The cons are the manual. You really need a magnifying glass to read it and it is poorly written. I'm sure people could get more out of using the charger if the manual had better descriptions of the functions and how to use them.

I like this charger a lot! It has a large easy to read display and provides a very fair amount of features and options along with the ability to charge a large selection of battery sizes. I do wish it allowed one to select a wider range of charging A speeds. 0.5A is to fast for batteries that are 1000mAh or less, such as AAA's imo. I use another charger for AAA's for this reason. I have seen several reviews by people stating the only way to exit the Voltmeter test mode is to either wait like 10 minutes or unplug it. If you simply press the "DISPLAY" button twice it will revert back. All in all, it's one of the best charger/testers available that's simple to use as well. It does bring dead batteries back. I had several that it rejected at first. But I would remove and reinsert them till it activated the feature. I would give it 5 stars if the charging current went down to .2A. I'm also not sure if the charging bays are long enough to charge those big protected batteries as I don't use or have any of them. Would I buy it again? Yes I would.
I bought four of these chargers and they work really good however one of my chargers tests low consistently compared the the others. Havnt decided if im gonna go thru the trouble of exchanging it or not.
Been using a VP4 for years and this thing blows that away. Room to get you batteries out, all sorts of features. Quality product. I can't take better photos than the stock photos showing off the charger so here is a pic of my dog.

What I needed This charger does it all when it comes to rechargeable batteries.I use a lot of batteries from flashlights to solar lights outside and I wasted a lot of time and electric charging bad batteries no more with this charger and 18650 Battery Store was a pleasure to deal with and I will use them Again for my battery needs.They sell other stuff as well And shipping was fantastic.
Awesome charger Really good charger easy to put 4 21700s in and take them out. The slots are spaced out enough to get in there. The charger does more than just charge batteries.
So far so good So far I am loving this charger. I had a Nitecore charger that only worked for a month so I bought this to replace it. The batteries are easy to insert and remove. You don't have to fiddle with the batteries to get them to read. I also like that you can choose the rate at which you charge them and it charges quick and efficiently.
XTar Dragon I am buying this as a replacement for my last one. I gave this an average rating because of it's short life expectancy. Mine worked extremely well for over a year, then began to develop minor problems: internal spring breaks, uneven conductivity etc.. It's such a good quick charger while it's fully functional that it's worth it.
Great Charger Takes a minute or two to get familiar with, but after you figure out what you want to do it's easy to replicate. Read the manual and/or watch a YouTube vid.

Waiting for a new model not always an option That said, it’s the best charger I’ve owned and used weekly. First XtAR, third four bay, plus have a two bay that overheats too quick. No issues with this Dragon after near 30 battery charges and a number of discharge tests. Voltage meter a welcome perk. Order placement to product arrival: under 60 hours!
Works as advertised I have tested and marked the capacity of my EBL, Amazon, and Eneloop battries as well as checked the charge on my new 18650s. I have tested AA and AAA without issue.
